Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern
Shelby offers a warm, person-centered approach to therapy, tailoring each session to the unique needs of the individual or couple she is working with. She creates a supportive, non-judgmental space where clients can slow down, feel understood, and begin making sense of what they are experiencing. While sessions are rooted in compassion, Shelby also believes in gentle accountability and thoughtful challenge to support meaningful, lasting change.
Shelby works with adults, young adults, teens, and couples who may be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected. She supports clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship concerns, boundary challenges, self-identity exploration, and patterns of self-abandonment. Her work is collaborative and trauma-informed, integrating evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, and ACT to help clients build practical coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and better understand patterns that may be holding them back.
Shelby is a great fit for clients who want to feel truly heard while also gaining tools they can use outside of session. Whether working individually or in a relationship, she helps clients strengthen communication, deepen self-understanding, and move toward lives that feel more connected, grounded, and aligned.
Outside the therapy room, Shelby enjoys working out, getting lost in a good book, going to concerts, and spending time with her two Alaskan Malamutes.
