Graduate Level Student Intern

Kailyn is a Student Intern from Palm Beach Atlantic University, driven by personal experiences that shaped her journey toward healing and a desire to support others on their paths to wellness. Her decision to pursue a career in mental health counseling stemmed from the transformative impact counseling had on her own life. Recognizing the power of feeling seen and validated, Kailyn is dedicated to creating a safe and nurturing space for her clients.

Embracing a person-centered approach, she focuses on using clients’ strengths to shape their future positively. While still developing her clinical identity, Kailyn is eager to learn and explore modalities that best suit clients’ needs as they arise. Kailyn also draws from her background as a personal trainer to bring a holistic viewpoint, incorporating her knowledge of the body to provide a comprehensive understanding of clients’ well-being. She understands the interconnectedness of physical and mental health, aiming to unite her passion for fitness, mental health, and wellness in her future practice as a clinician.

Outside of counseling, Kailyn finds joy in running, strength training, and engaging in various mindful hobbies like puzzles, reading fiction books, sewing, baking bread, and exploring new restaurants with her husband. These activities not only contribute to her personal growth but also enhance her ability to be present and intentional in her professional responsibilities. Kailyn looks forward to utilizing her experiences and passions to promote holistic well-being and empower individuals on their healing journeys.
